Two postcards from the Pensacola, Florida Naval Air Station. First shows

Six postcards from the Army Reception Center, New Cumberland, PA showing various
stages of recruit in processing, and beginning training. The cards are black and
white, the ones that took a green tint were due to my camera, the cards are
black and white. All have a war bonds message on the back. Postally unused, light soiling, light edge and corner wear. 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

Soviet
Ship pin. Either a hat, or a lapel badge. Screw clasp on back
also marked with the Soviet Star. Made out of pot metal or

My son is a Navy Distelfink. Ok, you tell me what this means. I have tried to
research it, and as far as I can tell distelfink is Pennsylvania Dutch for a
goldfinch. But I can find no connection to it in the navy. Might not even be US
navy. Depicted on the button is a bird carrying some kind of missile . 2 1/4

A wonderful real photo postard of an E model Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Army
Air Corps bomber. Unsent, so I am not able to date it with a cancellation stamp. Card does have some dents in the front, and a small tear on bottom right side. Some soiling, edge and corner wear. 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

Sweetheart Submariner's pin. This is what someone who served on a submarine
would have given to a wife, girlfriend or to their mother or etc. Shows a

"This card furnished for convenience of men in the armed services by the
Idaho State Department of Agriculture, Boise, Idaho"/ Postcard. Light

Canada Snowbird lapel pin, enamel on metal Good condition, 1 1/4 inches. The
Snowbirds are a Canadian aerobatics team similar to the US Thunderbirds. $6.50

I wish he had shown a bit more of the plane, but it is a nice photo showing a
soldier standing beside what I think is a North American Aviation Harvard or
Texan training plane. The soldier has a red keystone on his helmet for the 28th
Infantry Division that formed in Pennsylvania. 3 1/2 inches. Good condition.

These photos are all, I think, of the 35th Infantry, Hawaiian division of the US
Army that were stationed at Schofield Barracks, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. .
The first photo says "Gen. Winans and Staff Hawaiian Division Review
8-14-28, it is 2 1/2 x 7 inches. The second photo has stamped on the back the
name, and address of a photo company in the Hawaiian Islands, very unusual
military trucks, 3 x 4 inches.. Third photo is the same soldier as shown with
the trucks, 3 1/2 x 5 inches. The fourth photo says Chateau Shanty Masterprint
and is of a howitzer, and probably the general and his staff, Hawaiian Islands,
3 1/2 x 4 inches. . The fifth and sixth photos are of the back of an artillery
piece, and ammunition caisson, each 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Some yellowing, a few
corner creases, light soiling and wear, but still nice photos. $39.00 item #5413
Early silk and Lace Royal Navy Handkerchief. Bears the white ensign and a
defaced blue ensign. Probably a sweetheart gift given by a sailor to his
sweetheart, wife, or mother. Silk and lace. Light soiling, good condition.
Likely WW I or earlier era, but possibly as late as WW II. 11 x 11 inches.

U.S. Navy Bluejackets' Manual. I have 4, 1940, 1943, 1950 and 1961 the pictures
above are from the 1961 copy. The manual is a handbook for sailors which
discusses everything from code of conduct, ranks, insignia, 1940 has wear
to the cover, spine, and edges, light insect damage to first couple of pages,
784 pages. 1943 is the largest of the manuals at 1145 pages, which makes sense
due to the addition of all the WW II materials. Cover fading, wear, book is a
bit loose, edge, corner wear. Some soiling. 1950 is in about the same condition,
828 pages. 1961 edition is 640 pages. 5 1/4 x 8 inches each. Your choice of any

1943 Daily Texts for Moravian United States Service Men. I expect
Moravian texts are hard to find, especially those intended for men in the armed
forces. Belonged to a Corporal from Winston Salem, there was a good bit of
Moravian settlement around the Winston Salem, North Carolina area. Daily texts
for 12 months, a list of Moravian churches around the world and in the United
States. Some statistics, too, and there were only 38,000 members in the US. Some
soiling, you can see some blotching on the cover, edge and corner wear. Soft

Song and Service Book for Ship and Field - Army and Navy 1941-1943, by
A.S. Barnes & Co. Has protestant hymns, has Catholic and Jewish sections as
well. Once belonged to Reverend W. Luther Hawkins. Hardbound, cloth cover, wear
edges, especially the top edge where some of the cloth is gone. Light soiling,
corner and edge wear. Creases on spine. 192 pages, songs, hymns, funeral

EAA Warbirds of America Keep 'em Flying patch. EAA stands for the Experimental
Aircraft Association based out of Oshkosh, Wisconsin where they have a huge fly
in every year. patch has been sewn onto a flight suit, from which it was cut,
leaving nylon material on the back. But patch is in nice shape. 3 3/4 inches.

Montags Light Infantry Print Block. Due to the raised designs I think this was
used to stamp something soft, like the cover of a book, leather, vinyl,
fiberboard, or etc to leave the inked, raised, design on it. Made by O.
Struppmann & Co. Bronze 4 1/2 inches, Heavy. Good shape, light wear, light
tarnish. I could not find a book by this name, or info on the company that made
