La Salle hat pin. Truth, Honor, Duty. Established 1883, closed 2001. La Salle
was in New York, attached to the Roman Catholic church. Grades 9-12, many
famous, and infamous, graduates including Governors, congressmen, and etc. Pin
is made of brass, has a screwback, with a prong to hold it in place. I think
this was a hat pin. Heavy, 2 1/4 inches. Some tarnish, light wear. $29.00 item

Rockford, Illinois in November 1941 by a soldier undergoing training, says he
will be leaving Monday for parts unknown. some stains and soiling, some

Not dated, and not cancelled with a postmark, but the style of the postcard, and
what the soldier says makes me think WW I era. it's an awful cute postcard with
a little boy dressed as a soldier thinking of home. Marked on the back:
"Series 567 War Correspondence". Here is what the soldier had to say:
"Dear Folks: Camp Dix, June 24 - Monday and no move yet and we will be here
for another day any way. This is a funny army. I wish a thousand times that I
was out of it. I some times get to feeling that it is a two cent affair. But I'm
in the Army now and have no right to my own opinion any more. Perhaps if I could
see the why of things it would be different. I went on a hike for drill today.

1953 Squadron Administration textbook, second edition, The Military Service
Publishing Company. 527 pages. Some writing in the book (pencil) , yellowing.

spine. Still a very interesting book that gives you some idea of what it took to

6 photos and a Night Pass card, Corporal Russel M. Little. Company G. 157th
Infantry. Signed by Captain Norman B. Taylor, Commanding. Probably WW I era. The
most interesting photo to me is the woman in the biplane with the sleeve
insignia. Pictures are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Some yellowing, light soiling, edge

8 x 10 inch photographs. Notice the Ford sign in the first one, as well as the

Looks like the man in the center of this group of officers is a two star
general, no idea who. No idea of location, or date, though it might be possible
to approximate the date by the car, and someone might recognize the towers in
the background. Whatever they are in front of, it looks like there are curtains

Air Force GOC Observer pin. GOC stands for Ground Observer Corps. Screwback
lapel pin, enamel . Good condition. 1 1/4 inches. The Corps was started during
1942. By the 1950s radar had replaced the need for such a group and the Air

Two WW II era Army field dressings. Both brown, Carlisle, packed in waxed paper.
The first is a small field dressing, by Johnson & Johnson, the second is the
large dressing by Acme Cotton Products, New York. The paper shows some wear and

"PALS!" 1917 postcard showing soldiers of the allies, British,
American, French. On the back "Dear friend Ester, I am down in Ala where
the cotton is in bloom, the roses are in blossom, and the air is warm as June.
Mrs. C. F. Doyle. Mailed December 3, 1917. Light soiling, corner and edge

Can you find the fifth pig? Allied propaganda page, folded just right and you
get a picture of Adolf Hitler. Says "Look for the fifth pig in English and
"Chercher le cinquième" in French. Possibly dropped as a propaganda
