Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. brass and bronze plaque. On the face it says
"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 1929-1968 I Have a Dream" - On the back
"Copyright 1968 Tiimberlake Trading Co. Greensboro, NC. Name and image of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. copyright Estate of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, All
Rights reserved." also marked Korea where it was made. it appears to be
made of two metals, brass on the outer edge, with a bronze center. Heavy due to
the thicker bronze in the middle. Pierced for hanging. Right now it has string,
I would replace that with wire. If you are looking at this wonderful plaque,
then I am sure you are aware of just how central Reverend Dr. King was to the
Civil Rights Movement, and probably know the text of the "I have a
dream" speech better than I do. A great way to remember, commemorate, and
celebrate the life of Dr. King in your home, church, or business, and make sure
all remember him. 11 1/4 inches, a few light scratches, some light tarnish.
Would polish beautifully if the owner chose to do so, at least the smooth
portion, but I would let it age as the patina gives it dignity. $49.50 item

I can't even begin to describe how nice this little split oak basket is! Great proportions, great weaving of the splints, wonderful patina from age. The slats average around 5/8 of an inch. This superb little basket was purchased from a North Carolina estate, but I have no idea who made it, or where it was made. Looks very old, and has been used. paint drip on one side of handle and some on basket, they should be easy to clean off, very minor splitting around the nails and some splints, no breaks. Normal wear for a basket made to use. Overall good condition. Basket's dimensions are; 7 3/4 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 6 1/4 inches tall.
I have taken plenty of pictures to give you an idea of just how nice a basket this really is. Good, old, baskets like this are getting very hard to find, especially in good condition. Very small baskets are even harder, and more in demand.

I just thought this was a unique Hawaii souvenir, a hand with Hawaii Hang Loose carved on it, giving the universal symbol for taking things easy. Even the nails and bends in the fingers are carved. 4 inches tall, 2 inches wide, 1 1/2 inches thick. Good condition. Age? I don't think it's new. I bought it at an estate auction from the estate of a couple that traveled all over the world. possibly 1960s?
