Louisville Slugger 40 mini bat. Larry Bettencourt signature model. Hillerich
& Bradsby Co. Trademark. Very hard to read the last name, in fact I could
not read parts of it, and had to do research by parts of the name, but was able
to figure out who it was. Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Bettencourt
(1905-1978) was a minor league player with the Wichita Falls Spudders, then
an outfielder and third baseman for the St. Louis Browns 1928-1932. He
went to professional football and was a center for the Green Bay Packers
1932-33. He is in the College Football Hall of Fame, Saint Mary's College of
California. . He also managed a minor league team in 1941 the Grand
Forks Chiefs in North Dakota, may have been a manager/player for them. The bat
is. 16 1/2 inches, some scratches, and wear, probably from play. Signature hard
to read. Probably a rare bat. I contacted Louisville Slugger while researching
this and they confirmed that Larry Bettencourt used their bats, and that they
had an autograph contract with him back in the 1920s-1930s. $59.00 item #6094

River Race Augusta pass pinback, #0671 from 1991. Not sure if this was an

someone watching. Augusta is home to the "World's Richest Drag Boat
Race" every year on the Savannah river. A few light scratches, 1 3/4
